The Atlantic Highlands Historical Society plans a day of fun and learning about maritime life and traditions on Barnegat Bay when we visit Tuckerton Seaport on Saturday, Nov. 5. We'll have a private guided tour plus timeon our own to explore the 40-acre site filled with original and replica buildings. Among them: Tucker's Island Lighthouse, a sea captain's home, fishery, hotel and a clam and oyster house. Exhibits showcase pirates, surf boards, duck decoysand the impact of Super-storm Sandy.
Cost: $25, including a light breakfast at Strauss Mansion at 9 a.m. before departure by carpool.
